Our Pastor
Pastor Tom Barthel currently serves as the pastor of our congregation.
He is a 2005 graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated in 2009 from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He was called to serve at Christ and installed in November of 2009.
Pastor Barthel and his wife both grew up in Wisconsin with parents who taught in Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod elementary schools. Pastor Barthel and his wife, Bethany, have three young children.

Lay Planning Council
The Lay Planning Council (LPC) consists of the president of the congregation, the recording secretary, the treasurer, and the chairmen of the following: board of elders, board of property management, board of outreach, board of education, and board of stewardship.
The Lay Planning Council is to study and coordinate the overall work program of our congregation, so that it can meet the purpose and goal which it has set for itself, namely, "to reach out with the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in its truth and purity to Brainerd and the surrounding communities, and to provide the best possible Christian education to all members of our congregation. [Matthew 28:19-20, II Corinthians 4:13-15]"
Quarterly Voters' Meeting
These meetings are held regularly near the end of the months of January, April, July, and October or the beginning of the next month. The exact time and date is set by the Lay Planning Council. The Lay Planning Council is elected by the voters.
